Election Day in Indiana thread - what are you seeing?
I have a renewed sense of hope this morning. I just came from voting in Wayne Precinct 28 (that's ultra-red Republican Speedway) and there were TWO cars in the parking lot with "Not My Man" anti-Mitch bumper stickers (and no, it wasn't any of the poll workers, either!) WOW! To see this in Speedway gives me real hope that we're going to swing this state into the sane (Democrat) category some day soon!
By the way - if you spot voting issues or problems, give the I-Team at Channel 8 a call at 317-239-5555. They want to know if there are problems with voting, and I'm sure they will get back to you on your issue; they always have responded to me when I call them about this issue.
PLEASE go vote today! Thanks!

1. I was the 8th voter this morning
With any luck things will pick up. Not the best day for voting, but I hear it will clear up some.

2. I really think people seem more interested.
Several people I work with have mentioned already having gone to the polls. I've never heard that from them before! So, I think there is a sense of interest that I haven't seen before.

3. I wonder if there will be an upset in the congressional
As a general rule, I would have voted for Julia Carson. But Kiser is running on my issue, impeachment and the end of the illegal invasion, so I gave him my vote.

4. I'm with you, Voltaire!
I too also did not vote for Julia. Kiser's emphasis on getting our soliders home was reason enough for me to vote for him. The "Who will hold them accountable?" piece I got from him last week really clinched it for me. Time to send Julia a message that the status quo is NOT going to work any more, so GET MOVING and bring them home NOW!

5. Can't say much for Floyd County
Then again, I voted at 7:30 this morning. Counting my boyfriend and me, there were four voters at the polling station--the other two asked for a Repuke ballot. I hope their intention was to sabotage it for Sodrel. I would have done the same, but I wanted to give my vote to a few local Dems.

Back to turn-out, I certainly hope things picked up as the day went on.

6. Had a friend who was out at several precincts before noon
and said that voter turnout appeared to be low. I hope that changed across the day.

Have a relative working as a precinct judge in b-ton - and should hear later about how turn out compares to past recent primaries (we worked the primaries on 02 and 04 together).

7. Washington Township, 5 pm ...
... I was the 40'th voter on that particular machine, according to ES&S.
When I walked into the room for my district, the gentleman at the table threw up his arms as if to say 'YES! A Voter!!'.

How sad a commentary on the citizens of this state/country. :(

8. White county is still solid ReTHUGlican.
Almost all the offices were un-opposed, and in the one opposed race, it was 3 Rethugs splitting 3,000 votes to the lone Dem's 980...
