Flashback - great speech on House floor about Iraq
"We should not turn our backs today on millenia of wisdom by proposing to send America's beautiful sons and daughters into harm's way for what might be...based on the best of our intelligence information, none of these things has happened. The evidence supporting what 'might' be is tenuous at best...I must be convinced of that proof, or convinced that Saddam and his weapons of mass destruction do in fact pose an imminent and demonstrable threat to our national security or other vital interests. Substantial evidence is lacking in both regards."

That was John Hostettler, Oct. 20, 2002, supporting the position of that wicked liberal Nancy Pelosi to oppose the Iraq War Resolution. Since then, he's agreed with her by voting for continued emergency appropriations.

Props to Stephanie Salter at the Tribune-Star for letting fly with this little piece in today's paper:

The NRCC should really try doing homework before running dumbass attack ads.
