Mitch Daniels' full-page ads....
Lots of quotes from various Indiana newspaper EDITORIALS...

Yeah, Editorials, in other words, OPINIONS, usually from the ReTHUG Publisher of the rag...Not subject to tests on objectivity, TRUTH, etc.

And you know what they say about opinions being like assholes...

Everyone's got one, and most stink.

1. Daniels say he will bring jobs back to Indiana
Saw Daniels in the middle of the night ad where announcer was gushing all over him. He says he is going to bring jobs back to Indiana, but as Bush's money man he aided and abetted Bush in sending jobs out of this country. Said Kernan/O'Bannon drove state into despair with overspending. He's gonna change all that(sure he is). As Bush's budget director he played more than a bit part in the ruination of our economy.

2. God Help Us
After what Mitch did with the country's budget and then IPALCO, with no consideration to the employees or the people of Indiana, IF he wins, I may put some serious thought to moving to nearby KENTUCKY!!! Speaking of which, we are also not far from Ohio, and I understand the the Kerry campaign needs help with phone polling in Ohio and polls workers if anyone is interested. I have signed up to help and if anyone wants to phone bank I have a link I can send them. I haven't made enough posts to start a new thread anywhere and if you care to e mail me I will send you the link. I must type in you email addy on their members page so you can phone bank. It's real easy to do. I feel like maybe we can turn Indiana blue, and Ive worked it to death here, but with the proper help we WILL turn Ohio Blue, what you say. can you help. Thanks:kick:

4. I think Indiana could turn blue, too...
Along with Ohio. At least it'll be more purple than it was..

And welcome aboard, Mom!

3. And his precious Eli Lilly announced what, around 500 lay-offs?
425? 725? That's OK, they can re-train to be bartenders and hairdressers...

And he presided over the IPALCO fiasco, that the PSC ruled O'Bannon was POWERLESS to stop...

And he presided over the first 2 years of this country's biggest slide into the financial hole....

But Chimp called him "Mah Man Mitch", so that's good enough for Indiana's mouth-breathers.

6. That's the least of it
They'll be cutting around 2,000 jobs or so. They're closing down Elanco (the animal health division) around here in Clinton. Lilly is royally fucked right now. And I would point out that Dick Cheney was also once on the board of directors.

8. Closing ELANCO???
My GF's dad BUILT that facility at Clinton!

I can see it now, When Kernan gets elected and Lilly goes down the toilet to Mexico (Hey, Steve Buyer! how SAFE are MEXICAN-MADE drugs, huh?)Daniels and the GOP will blame Joe for the closings...Even though they're in motion NOW....

5. My B*tch Mitch!
I hate the thought of this man doing to Indiana what he did to the country when he was Bush's budget director.

I will vote for Kernan-Davis on Tuesday and I will hope and pray that my fellow Hoosiers have enough sense not to put Daniels in the Statehouse.

7. Well, Kernan leads by about nine points in Terre Haute
Hopefully that's a decent sign for the rest of the state. The unions are HUGE behind him, and that helps.

Frankly, I am much more concerned about what Daniels will do to education in this state. He wants to make everything a charter school, destroying contracts with teachers, lowering their pay, and, in effect, destroying the ISTA.
