Ellsworth needs kicked in the nuts!!
He voted "NO" on the horse slaughter ban and he has all ready taken over $100,000 for Big Oil! What a hack asshole. I am beginning to regret (helping) to put him in the House.

1. A source on the "Big Oil" donations would be nice
And why is a "no" vote on the horse slaughter ban a bad thing?

4. OK...
1 Leadership PACs $116,800
2 Lawyers/Law Firms $115,279
3 Candidate Committees $93,598
4 Industrial Unions $77,000
5 Building Trade Unions $74,100
6 Public Sector Unions $72,500
7 Retired $64,740
8 Health Professionals $52,683
9 Transportation Unions $52,000
10 Pro-Israel $48,250
11 Real Estate $45,660
12 Misc Unions $40,500
13 Securities & Investment $26,750
14 Democratic/Liberal $25,457
15 Civil Servants/Public Officials $18,550
16 Construction Services $17,400
17 Commercial Banks $16,383
18 Business Services $14,400
19 Misc Finance $13,556
20 Automotive $12,000

Doesn't seem to be much there from oil...another page there shows a bare fraction of contributions coming from "Energy/Natural Resources" which could mean anything. So I still fail to see how he's a "tool of Big Oil."

Ellsworth is not perfect by any stretch, but what do you want? Hostettler back in Congress? A Republican from Vigo County has already announced he will run in 2008, and you can bet your ass they have their sites set on this district. I've spent too long being represented by Republicans to allow that to change. I apologize if he's not sufficiently liberal for everyone else.

5. The very first time I came across this site...
...The Oil Contributions was there, I swear. It seems the format of the site has changed too, I should email them and ask where the $100,000+ go that Ellsworth received has previously reported.

But I did not make it up, it was there.

6. Yeah, kick him for me while you're at it...
..and while you're at it, kick the Indiana State Democratic Party, who used their own newsletter list to feature a pitch for funds for this guy this week! So mad, I went online and canceled my e-mail subscription to it.

I didn't sign up for a pitch from him and I certainly don't approve of the IN Dems jumping on his darned bandwagon.

And while we're at it - why can't the IN Dems put together a decent, consistent, informative e-newsletter? Take a look at the Indiana Libertarian Party's e-newsletter for a great example of how it should be done - and those folks are doing it with NO MONEY and all volunteers! So what's wrong with this picture, people?

Make him (Ellsworth) develop his own donor list, people. The rest of us are...

Not one more dime to the Indiana Democratic Party EVER AGAIN! Bad enough they jumped on the Jim "I have no experience but I can raise money from friends" Schellinger for Governor bandwagon. Guess it helps if you appoint the heads of the State Party to your paying gigs, so they can drag the State Party's "support" along with them. And to pick a "horse" this early in the race was STUPID!

BTW: To those who have heard the incorrect rumor that Senate Majority Leader Richard Young was going to drop out of the race for Governor - you are DEAD WRONG! The Senator is in it to win and has the best experience of anyone in the race - and I got that information directly from him!
So the State Party (or whoever is spreading this) can stop the damned rumor mill, while they're at it.

Signed One Fed-Up Indiana Democrat...

7. You know what I say about this whole thing
Edited on Wed Jul-04-07 11:16 PM by Heath Hatcher
If you don't like Ellsworth then just vote him out. If you can't find someone to challenge him in the primaries then vote for the Republican, who cares if that Republican if a real conservative Republican because if you that that guy or girl can do a better job then Brad Ellsworth then vote for that person or if you can't stand to vote Republican then just flt out stay home because don't just vote for Ellsworth because he's a Democrat no if your unhappy with the status quo in office then do something about it. I live in Pennsylvania and I had a hard decsion to make in the Governor's race here because he have a bad Dem as our gov but I couldn't stand to vote for the Republican running cause he would of been just as bad so I didn't vote for either and I wrote-in a candidate and I didn't feel like a fool for doing it either.

But whatever you do don't give him any money, politics is literally fueled my cash and when it stops coming in he'll take notice.

8. I am also trying to understand why
he and Donnelly tried to rescue of Daniel's
privatization of the Family Service's contract. Why do they
have any reason to save face for Daniels? Daniels got into
the mess on his own let him and his cronies save it if it is
such a good deal and if not let them suffer the consequences.
