Mary Milz/Eyewitness NewsIndianapolis - The city's firefighters are mourning the loss of one of their own.
Indianapolis Fire Captain Gary Henry, 34, a sergeant in the Indiana National Guard, was killed early Monday while serving in Iraq. Mayor Greg Ballard remembered Henry as "a good man."
"He was pretty well-known, had a reputation for being dependable, a team player and a family man," Ballard said.
Indiana Adjutant General Major General R. Martin Umbarger said Henry and two other Hoosiers were on a combat operation in southern Baghdad when their vehicle was hit by a roadside bomb.
Twenty-two-year-old Jonathan Menke of Madison also died in the attack, while 25-year-old John Blickenstaff of Twelve Mile was severely injured.
