In addition to the new elected position she just started a new job so she's been pretty busy.

A meetup is DEFINITELY in order. We were thinking of maybe a Saturday afternoon / evening to see if we could get some of the Indiana DU people who live outside of Indy.

One of our new west side democratic friends (we had no idea there were so many) manages a restaurant with a meeting room where we could eat, imbibe and converse.

After eight years of gathering to commiserate, we need to gather to celebrate.

3. Lots to celebrate! Indiana last went blue a generation ago.

That same year (1964) George Wallace got 40% of the Democratic primary vote. The Wallace voters became Republican after Nixon became President, and they still are.

So long as it isn't this Saturday, I'm off to Cincy to see my beloved Philadelphia Eagles. Any other Saturday would be good, gives me a break from writing political science grad school papers.
