Computer glitch may have cost Macy's customers

A computer error may have led to thousands of Macy's customers being overcharged the weekend before Christmas.

Some customers who used their debit cards were double - and some even triple - charged for purchases made that day. The company blames a computer glitch on December 20th between 1:00 and 2:45 pm.

The glitch only occurred on debit card purchases, those made with credit cards were not affected.

Anyone who believes they were overcharged will need to have a copy of their bank statement and contact Macy's to have the problem fixed.
