Created On: Thursday, 08 Jan 2009, 11:22 AM ESTINDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - WISH-TV invites the community to "The Inauguration of Barack Obama: A Witness To History" at Conseco Fieldhouse on January 20, 2009 in association with Old National Bank, The Indianapolis Recorder, WIBC FM 93.1 and MyINDY-TV 23.
"It will be a historic event as Americans witness the inauguration of the first African-American president," said Jeff White, WISH-TV president and general manager. "Opening Conseco Fieldhouse will give Central Indiana the opportunity to be a part of the excitement, witness history and share the experience together. This inauguration is a culmination of the role Indiana played in the primary and as a key battleground state in the general election."
Doors at Conseco Fieldhouse will open at 9:30 a.m. with LIVE 24-Hour News 8 and CBS News coverage beginning at 10:00 a.m. continuing until 1:00 p.m. General Admission tickets are FREE to the public, but limited and will be available at the Conseco Fieldhouse box office beginning Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. Ticket distribution is limited to six per person. Conseco Fieldhouse concession stands will be open during the event for those attending on their lunch hour.
