Baby sitters accused of taping sex with children

VEEDERSBURG, Ind. – A couple who ran a baby-sitting service out of their home videotaped themselves performing sex acts with children, some as young as 2 months old, police said Friday.

Stephen E. Quick, 31, and Samantha Light, 25, both of Veedersburg in western Indiana, were being held on $100,000 bond in Fountain County Jail. Both faced preliminary charges of child molestation and child exploitation. Jail staff did not know whether either one had an attorney.

3. This is scarily similar to a case in northern Indiana

Except the couple involved were not babysitters. The woman and her boyfriend videotaped the children performing sex acts with the boyfriend, then sold the videotapes. Adults also paid to watch the children "perform." However, I get the impression that in this latest case the couple was doing it for their own "enjoyment."

Which is not to say that Hoosiers are more likely to abuse than anyone else; the second case just reminds me so much of the other.

but, unfortunately, many people from Connecticut, New York, Indiana, Ohio, etc., have MOVED to Florida. The beautiful weather and relatively low costs attract all kinds.

my opposition to the death penalty . . .

a 2-month-old? . . . there's a huge part of me that simply can't fathom how any human being, absent severe mental problems, could even contemplate assaulting one so young -- much less actually doing it . . . and taping it, no less . . .

at minimum, lock him up and throw away the key . . . the horrors of "prison justice" will likely surpass any punishment our judicial system might inflict . . .
