June 19: Indiana Patriot Guard and Indiana Blue Star Salute
Indiana Patriot Guard

Another local Marine (Speedway), Sgt John K Rankel, 23 years young, gave
his life for his country on June 7. Please join the Indiana Patriot
Guard on June 19 to provide a flag line around Speedway High School. You
do not have to own a motorcycle to be a member of Indiana Patriot Guard.
Motorcycles are only used to escort the remains of the fallen, but
anyone can stand with an American flag and pay homage for those who have
given their all for us. Please see below link for information for
mission times for Saturday. Meet at the IndyWest Harley Davidson on 6112
Cambridge Way, Plainfield, to make a donation for the Indiana Blue Star
Salute. Once received, we will wear our Blue Star Salute "T" Shirts to
honor both. Please see click on the following link for information on
the funeral itself. http://indianapatriotguard.org/missions.htm

Indiana Blue Star Salute

June 19 is a day to honor and show support for the families of those men
and women in uniform. These families sacrifice every day for those that
serve our country. The Indiana Blue Star Salute will be held at Stout
Field, 2002 S Holt Road. Gates open at 12 noon; ceremony will be from
2-4:30 p.m. Anyone can attend this event. Admission and parking are
free. There is also an escorted motorcycle ride to support this event
which includes a Huey Helicopter flying escort overhead. Motorcycle
riders can click on Ride for the Salute to find out more information
about the escorted ride and the donation required for this one of a kind
ride. Last year there were over 700 bikes that arrived to kick off this
event. The following link contains information:
