Political Calendar of Events?

Lately a lot of people have asked me to set up a political calendar of events for Iowa... or at least Eastern Iowa. I've got a program that's great and I've got plenty of room to do this on the EE server, but what I lack is time.

If I were to set up a calendar, would others here on DU be willing to add events as well?

1. Is the problem simply getting info?

I know at ISP they had an in with each campaign. Also it would be nice to have Republican events. I would like to wear my 'health care' voter shirt to one and maybe get a question in.
BTW we don't have much time either.

Just the time it would take to enter it all. Although there are only 40-some days left before caucus, the calendar could morph into a general political calendar (listing local fundraisers, central committee meetings, affiliated groups, etc.)

I know that because of the way official party organizations and 527s have to interact, there are a lot of events/trainings/etc. by like-minded groups that can't or shouldn't be listed on party calendars. This would be a way to hopefully keep track of those too.

I have no problem listing all political events, regardless of party. The EE site is owned by me and not affiliated with the party or any organization. We could list whatever we want.
