Obama - Oprah Event in CR on Dec-08?
Anyone here any details on this yet? Obama is still one of my top 3, and the miss and I would really like to attend at least one rally of his to help us decide. I heard that he's having an event in CR on Dec-08 which would work great for us, but it wasnt on his website when I checked.

Just putting this out there, if you have info, please share.

Thanks!

4. Rural has ya beat!
Oh, and I don't think Hillary would begrudge me for looking around before committing... although her campaign workers do look a little flustered when I refuse to sign a pledge card after talking the local political scene with them. Oh the joys of being an Iowan.

And for the record Ms Debi, as of today my committment is still up for grabs. I would like to support Clinton or Biden, with Obama being a distant third (for now anyway, I'll check back in after the Oprah-factor has been applied). My plans for the caucus are as follows:

Attempt to determine the viability of all groups.

If Biden is already viable, support main candidate (which if I choose Biden will be him obviously).

If Biden is not viable, I will caucus for him and attempt to have others join to make him viable. This will hopefully prevent any of his supporters from going elsewhere, limit the support to other candidates, and give Joe's peeps a voice at the county level (and even if I don't support him, I like him).

If my support won't help Biden, I'll try to do the same for any other "bottom tier" candidate for the same reason basically, to attempt to prevent their supporters from going to other candidates.

If all else fails, and Biden is not viable, and I can't make a viable group of the others, I'll support either Clinton or Obama, with Clinton being first of those two for now.

How's THAT for a caucus strategery? I am supposed to be the temp caucus chair, so hopefully I am not too busy to do all of that quickly.

Either way, I'll make it to the county convention one way or another, and will see you all at the State Convention!

6. Man, I am so behind the times!
Your strategy and mine are pretty similar.

my body goes to either the candidate w/the largest contigent or to a candidate that needs 'just one more' to become viable.

Debi Jr. is SOOOOOO all about Biden and is rather P.O.ed that neither Mom or Dad will sign on with the campaign. Doesn't know why we won't just "Do the right thing!"

Have fun with Oprah (hope you get a new car out of the deal!):hi:

3. Geez
They make you either volunteer for four hours, or go to a caucus training to get reserved seating. I suppose extra caucus training wouldn't be bad...

Thanks for the link! It looks official, they must have updated the webpage since this morning.

5. I gotta get training anyway and we have some scheduled for the
central committee in a couple weeks. That isn't what they meant I am sure but what the heck? Not sure if we will go anyway.

7. They just called me with that info. I can't go so it didn't matter. They did say that
it is, of course, open to the public but the seats would just be a little farther back.
