Former President Clinton made an appearance in Muscatine Tuesday on behalf of Hillary. John Deeth has good coverage on the nuts and bolts of the speech here:
http://www.jdeeth.blogspot.com/ My impressions: I was more surprised by what he didn't say than by what he did say. With Iraq being the number one issue, Clinton said nothing about it until questioned. In that answer there was an reference to how important the 'oil law' was.
Details of how the universal health care would be achieved were lacking.
Answering a question on gay marriage he was terse, changing his normal verbosity to a very short answer.
Since I didn't take notes I can't remember all the points I pondered as we came home. As we drove and talked we were rather surprised by what was glossed over or not mentioned. Especially when he talked on and on. I had forgotten how long Clinton can talk.
