Let's get serious about the Irish Democrat on 1/4/08!

Hi Iowa DUers!
Since it's almost December, I think it's time to firm up our tentative plan to meet at the Irish Democrat on January 4th for a post-caucus decompression get-together!

I was thinking about an evening thing, since many of us work during the day (rurallib had suggested an afternoon thing, since folks might have time off for the holidays, but Rambis and I do have to work that day until 5:00).

Please reply to this post and indicate whether or not you'd be interested, and what time you think would be best.

1. I have to work during the day and so does my husband.

I would really prefer an evening thing. We don't often get a chance for us to go out, just the two of us, so I'm really looking forward to it.

I don't think there's a rule that you must drink. Unless it's a self-imposed rule (which I have). :)

10. I work 12 hr. shifts

And have to be in at 5:00AM. And I'm middle aged and not so crazy anymore. But I sure would like to meet you all some time. And again, have a great time while toasting the upset victory of Chris Dodd. Er...Obama, ummm...Edwards, ah hell, just have a great time.

I hope the weather is decent! I think we all have a bit of traveling to get to CR, but it seems sort of centrally located to most of us. More importantly, I hope the weather is decent on the 3rd!

Have we had the Smithwicks taster give the all clear yet? Product consistency and reliability are very important to me. If I have to I will sacrifice a Saturday and go do the analysis and report back. The things I do for the Democratic party jeesh!
