1. I'll venture over, don't know if I'll respond though...

No way am I getting into that. DK has the funds to open offices in NH/NV/CA and elsewhere, can campaign in Florida, California and Hawaii but ignores Iowa and then complains. (Let's not forget his supporters taking tickets from Edwards and others just to attend the JJ and protest on DK's behalf - guess he'll spend other campaign's money here but not his own). DK's message has been drowned out b/c of his lack of desire to campaign in Iowa. Makes no sense to me.

2. As far as I am aware anyway!

We were without power from morning until about 3pm yesterday, then lost it again late last night (11pm-ish) after it had been flickering all night.. that lasted until about 3am I think. Luckily we had jacked the heat up pretty high in anticipation so we didn't get cold or anything.

The number of trees that were down (and still down in some areas) on even the main roads is amazing. Getting home yesterday afternoon was a bit scary - I witnessed a large branch fall and knock a power line down. I called it in and it looked like it was cleared up this morning. Glad I wasn't going just a little faster or I might have been squashed!

Kucinich has abandoned Iowa for sunny locals this entire campaign - only showing up at events that will get him national press time. He blew off an event here in Black Hawk County when people attended solely b/c they heard he would be there. No explanation as to why (although I'm sure it had something to do with the fact that C-SPAN/MSNBC/CNN weren't showing the event. I guess if Iowans aren't good enough for Dennis.....

I saw him leaving the debate Thursday - after the Clinton caravan departed - he was being driven in a lovely silver Ford Focus with out of state plates. (A small step down from his days at Terrace Hill I presume).

One quick note. Here in the Iowa Forum one of our favorite DUers has asked that we refrain from attacking each other's candidates (and we've done a pretty good job of keeping it cordial). Although I am VERY dissapointed that Kucinich has blown Iowa off, except for nationally televised events, I try to keep an open mind about his candidacy as to not piss off any Iowa Kucinich supporters.
