While Obama and Clinton have drawn crowds in the thousands in places like Des Moines and Ames, Edwards has been winning over people in tiny towns like Sac City (population: 2,189). That's important, the strategists say, because under Iowa's arcane caucus rules, a precinct where 25 people show up to vote gets the same number of delegates as a place that packs in 2,500.

My county precincts have from 3 to 14 delegates to elect. I will bet a jello shot Polk county elects more than the 65 delegates we elect county wide.

1. They sound confused...

For example, my precinct elects 7 delegates. If I understand correctly, the number of delegates the precinct sends on is decided by a calculation using the latest census information, or the last general election (one of those two I think, someone will correct me I'm sure).

Since my precinct sends 7, it won't matter if 10 people or 500 people show up at my precinct to caucus, we still send 7 delegates.

I don't know if that is what they were referring to, but I noticed that can confuse people.
