King endorses Thompson

Surprised this was missed by our eagle eyed scouts:
Iowa Rep. Steve King has endorsed fellow Republican Fred Thompson for president.

Thompson, a former Tennessee senator, said in a statement today that he looks forward to working with King leading up to the Iowa caucuses on Jan. 3 and "into 2008 in support of the traditional conservative values he and I share."

King has taken a tough stance on illegal immigration, and a recent measure he proposed to punish companies that hire illegal immigrants won Thompson's support. Under the measure, businesses could not take a tax deduction for wages paid to an illegal immigrant.

Took King a while to remember if it was Fred or Tommy. He almost went with Tommy fearing that Fred had died based on a recent performance at the Register's candidate forum.
King is always described as being from "Kiron". Is that a planet in another solar system? Is he an illegal alien?

I thought he would go with Tancredo. They seem to be a good fit.
Regardless, King's endorsement should be a great boost to Thompson's campaign...:rofl:

Hey, I drove through Kiron once. Well, I kinda just drove by. It's like many of Iowa's dying small towns. Except that it spawned one of the worst Representatives in our fair state's history.

There isn't much there -- don't blink or you'll miss it. It's just south of Odebolt, which is on Hwy 20.

5. A news reported on FOX stated

that Thompson will probably out of the race after the 6th primary.. He's really not getting the traction his campaign thought they would get and McCain is making a comeback.. I can't wait.
