one thing on the registration - people have been prosecuted for falsifying it (I believe a reporter tried in 2004 and ended up with a fine). Our Attorney General is on the ball when it comes to that, so I call BS on that part of their post.

Also find it odd that people are counting how many folks live in their neighborhoods - AND basing their count on how many doors they knocked. Really? They knocked on EVERY door in the precinct? AND counted EVERY person behind EVERY door? Just a bunch of baloney.

3. I saw it and was going to dispute a couple things but...

and this is a big but (as I don my flame retardant suit), I'm having reservations about the effectiveness of our caucus system. Since caucus night, I've been rehashing it in my head and I'm not sure the caucus system is working the way it was intended. I can't point to any shenanigans but it was, to put it politely, disheveled.

I hate to post and run but I gotta run! I'll try to get back to this before I leave for the weekend.

but, its organized chaos.

Last week we had an elderly lady who needed to fill out her registration form. The "precinct captain", who was NOT from Iowa, had his son, evidently a high school kid, help her fill out the form. He did not know what STATE he was in, he did not know the TOWN he was in, he did not even know what DAY it was!! He was filling this out for her, because she has Parkinson's, but without sitting right there at the table, or knowing her, you wouldn't know he wasn't filling it out for himself.

Once again, its all in the perception. You can always see what you want to see, even if its not what's really happening.

10. DU in general seems to have degenerated into a bash fest

bash Clinton, bash Obama, bash Edwards, bash Biden, bash anyone who disagrees.
bash Iowa, bash New Hampshire, soon we will have bash Nevada, bash SC.

I am getting pretty tired of all this crap, especially when Bushco continues to float along breaking laws with immunity, issuing signing statements to neuter legislation, committing treason.
And while the republic candidates should be a much more fun source of amusement. I mean these guys are stupid, inept, pasty white and fear mongerers.
