How bad are road conditions where you live?
If you come to Coralville, don't try and drive on the side streets. It's quite a challenge. Highway 6 through town is fine, but everything else is packed with ice and snow.
The folks live on a gravel road outside Cedar Rapids and haven't seen a snowplow yet. The neighbors cleared a one-lane path for them, but that's it. I hate winter.

2. 14 foot drifts out here...
we got out about 7 last night. The maintainer wasn't able to clear our road, just blast a path through it. I was snowed in with three kids, a dog that WON'T pee outside if the temperature dips below 30, and a husband who couldn't make it to work two days in a row...It was NOT pretty.

3. Ice Ice Baby

Does that show my age? (and lack of taste?!)

Come to the Debi's for ice skating fun!!!

The county is doing it's best to clear the roads - they've got the snow off but the ice is staying for now. Our drive is completely ice covered even though our wonderful plow guy hit us twice during the storm. I've chipped at some and thrown salt down just to make it not so slippery. We need a couple of above thirty degree days to do any good.

Why does it have to be so COLD??? :scared:

5. Coralville is out of salt for the roads
We can ice skate on the streets! I would hate to try and navigate a school bus on these roads. It's like a demo derby!

4. It's only 65 here.
But don't worry, the roads are fine, thank you very much.

(Looks like I picked the right year to get out of the Midwest for the winter...)

6. I went outside today.
The first time since November. I adventured outside to the ally to help push my daughter out of a snow bank. My nurse gave me what for when I told her. She doesn't need to worry. Someone allert me when all the snow is gone and it's in the mid 70s in CR.
