The presidential campaign for New York Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton appeared less than enthusiastic in its return to Iowa in March to battle once again for the state's delegates at county conventions. It was a costly mistake and one, it now seems, the campaign has no desire to repeat.

Yesterday, Iowa delegates who remain pledged to the suspended presidential run of former North Carolina Sen. John Edwards as well as those pledged to Clinton received a full-page, full-color reminder of the upcoming Democratic district conventions.

28. Digby is an amazing woman

You know, as a woman blogger, I understand the want of hiding your name -- to be honest, if it hadn't been for accepting the job at Iowa Independent, I most likely would have opted to remain anonymous.

Paige and I both receive some really *really* nasty emails and comments that never get published on the site. There's one particular fellow who is getting very close to being turned over to the authorities because of the things he writes to us.

Do you remember a few weeks ago when John Deeth published photos of himself, his daughter and the new grandbaby? I was really happy for him, but also pretty jealous. As much as I'd like to share more family stuff on EE, I simply cannot justify doing so. It's one thing for me to put my name and face out there for the crazies. It's quite another for me to put my children out there. Yet, the male bloggers do it all the time. It's frustrating and, I think, one of the reasons more women don't blog -- or blog anonymously like Digby.

Anyway, I got completely off topic... Thanks to all of you for everything you did during the course of the WVWV contest. I'm much more honored and humbled by the out-pouring of affection from all of you than I could have ever been from winning the contest.
