Gramm, Leach, Bliley Act
I finally salved my curiosity and went to Wikipedia to verify that the Leach whose name is on this piece of legislation that repealed Glass-Steagall was our very own Jim Leach. And yes, it is.
This is the guy who was so known for his expertise in banking.
I had often said I could not name one thing Leach had done in 30 years. Now I know one.
Thank you Jim.

6. Leach was on the noon IPR show today
I was driving and I could not hear what he said very well. He talks so low. Mostly what I got out of it was that this bill did nothing. The real damage was done by some Democratic bill in 1992 that he opposed.
About 90% of what I have read lays the blame on Gramm, Leach, Bliley plus totally ignoring any oversight.
Anybody else hear Leach today that can fill in what I missed?
