how mccain treats his Iowa supporters
first heard this on IPR. Nice diary on Kos

=========================
“When I started talking to them, it kind of became clear that they were kind of just telling people to leave that they thought maybe would be disruptive, but based on what? Based on how they looked,” Elborno said. “It was pretty much all young people, the college demographic.”

Elborno said even McCain supporters were among those being asked to leave.

“I saw a couple that had been escorted out and they were confused as well, and the girl was crying, so I said ‘Why are you crying? and she said ‘I already voted for McCain, I’m a Republican, and they said we had to leave because we didn’t look right,’” Elborno said. “They were handpicking these people and they had nothing to go off of, besides the way the people looked.”

1. What a nice man.
What a nice man this McCain guy is. He sure knows how to treat his supporters right.

2. In '04, Kerry and bush were here at the same time
about three blocks from each other. There was a protest rally going on for the bush arrival and I was there. Also there was a young man who had just enlisted in the United States Air Force. He went down to the bush thing and was asked to leave. When he asked why, since he just joined the Air Force and was undecided, they told him that he "didn't look like a guy who just enlisted." They said his hair was too long. He was decided at that point as he then joined our protest.
Sounds like the McCain people are doing the same thing. Only this time, it is all going to backfire on them. Dumbasses.

3. Was at the Cedar Falls event
Arrived at last minute, so I didn't see this happening, but some of the folks (Obama supporters) standing outside the gymnasium told me about it. Glad to see that someone was able to interview those who it happened to.
