god I hate this super cold

and more snow coming. We had plans to go to Peoria for Christmas, but who knows? This is one hell of an early winter.

2. House I'm in dates from the 1880s

And my room is on the southwest corner of the upper floor. We remodeled the house extensively, putting in insulation and so on. But the bedroom is still freezing, even with a space heater going. Probably be spending the night on the couch tonight.

I have a number of very warm parkas and long johns and fond memories of frozen lakes. (and then going inside for hot chocolate or hot buttered rum with cinnamon sticks).

4. I remember one time my brother and I went to the MOA during December

And it was damn cold that weekend, and windy too. We stopped at the outlet mall along I-35 south of the Twin Cities and the place was almost deserted that morning, no one really wanted to be out in that kind of cold.

But you can stick the cold of Minnesota someplace warm. A few months ago a person from our Iowa forum posted from the Philippines and to tell you the truth, that sounds pretty damn good right about now. Ah, warmth.

7. Its the ice that gets me

I am from MI. Moved her a while ago and I am still not used to the ice that seems to follow the snow fall.

Also, it gets way colder here in IA!
