Durbin outed Grassley on the Stimulus
I was listening this morning and caught Dick Durbin, talking about our esteemed Senator Grassley who voted against the Stimulus Bill because it cost too much.

Our dear Senator did this AFTER adding a codicil to same said bill for 70 million. Let me repeat.

He voted against it, after adding to it.

~sigh~

2. Anything you want me to ask him?
I will be going to a small townhall that Grassley is having near here. I'm trying to build some talking points and hope to heck I can keep my cool.
I'll keep this one in mind.

4. I think they are both owned by Lee Enterprises
Edited on Sat Feb-14-09 10:16 AM by rurallib
edit to add - shows the diversity of opinion in Iowa. Gannet and Lee own most of the major papers, ClearChannel and NPR owns most of the major radio stations and Sinclair is a major player in TV. Not a hell of a lot of diversity.

5. Please write Letters to the editor and send them to the major
papers in your area and the DMR. Grassley has gotten away with this for WAAAAY too long. He needs to be taken to task for his actions. Maybe he will have more than token opposition next round and be retired.
If you missed another post I put up, the Grassley family has trooped to the federal trough for some million dollars in ag payouts. So Chuck has no problem doling out federal money as long as your name is Grassley.

6. One more thing - many repug reps and senators are already
sending out press releases touting how much the stimulus will help their district or state. Can't put my finger on the article right now. It quoted an (R) congressman from Florida and Don Young making statements about how the stimulus will help their districts and implying that they were responsible.
