Culver, Grassley and Steve King are gifts that keep on giving says latest Skinny

I was particularly bemused and incensed to read Big Lug had left the complicated legislative battles to enjoy the Masters Tournament. No wonder the legislators are pissed at him. One term gov. As to Grassley and King one can easily fill in the blanks as to why satirists find them irresistible.

With Terry Branstad, we had an enemy who was sometimes a friend but with Culver we have a friend who is mostly an enemy.

I think the link would be useful. We drove all the way to Des Moines again to get the latest Skinny. Actually we were there since my wife had an ISEA PAC meeting where the legislators spoke and said Iowans can expect very little out of this legislature. I guess the Chambers of Commerce and the Farm Bureau have spoken. What do we have to do to get progressive legislation through? Elect ALL Democrats to the state house and senate?

3. Elect REAL Democrats to the legislature

Not just fill the seats. Or at least know WHAT we're up against when we do elect DINOs! I'm sitting in a county w/Doris Kelly - someone who seems to despise even the word Democrat - but has no problem having the letter 'D' behind her name if it means she can call herself 'Representative'. Can't remember the last Pro-Dem thing the woman did. Who recruited her? And WHY??

4. We had a Rep over here that changed from "D" to "R" after he was elected.

Pissed a lot of people off. But at least his party affiliation matches his voting record now.
