In Dubuque both the RTL and Planned Parenthood organizations are worried
I saw a thing on the Dubuque TH this morning about how Planned Parenthood and the right to life people are handling the Tiller assassination.

http://www.thonline.com/article.cfm?id=245556

And the director of the local right to life office is surprised that there hasn't been any retaliation. Someone should explain to the guy that by and large those who support Planned Parenthood are not that likely to sink to the level that the right to lifers would.

1. WTF?
Retaliation? That's your team's M.O. you dumbass.

And if that Planned Parenthood doesn't do abortions, what are they protesting? Condoms? The Pill? Maybe they should protest Walgreens too since they sell birth control too. Gah. :banghead:

2. Yes... that's exactly what they are protesting
Many in the RTL crowd believe that birth control is the same as abortion -- the pill, the IUD, emergency contraception, NuvaRings, the Patch... whatever.

Many also condemn those who choose condoms because "it prevents the acceptance of God's will."

There are many, many links to this, but I'm not posting them. You can google if you want more info.

BTW, many who believe this are also of the "women should stay at home" crowd. That is, they believe that women have no need for education or employment outside of the home. I can't imagine why they might think that their rhetoric would be more accepted in a world where women were uneducated and isolated...

4. 21st century and a group of terrorists want to move women's health
back to the 18th century. Just a way to make yourself more powerful by terrorizing others.
I hope Obama comes out with a strong atatement or action on this.

3. We retaliated back in November
By electing Barack Obama. Payback for all the right-wing bullshit from the previous 8 years.

5. And in the following discussion thread we had a fine example of Goodwin's Law
In the discussion thread for the article, it only took 32 posts (including one that was later deleted by the user) for a RTL talking head to compare their opponents to the Nazis;

TT, to answer your question, they should have given birth to the baby/babies, love them as long as they are alive, and then give them the dignity of a funeral. Sparky, how do you know that I and al007italia are members of a RTL organization? Are you lumping us all together like the mainstream media and right to kill groups have done all week? What about the muslim who killed the officers at the Army recruiting office this week? Are all muslims terrorist extremists, or was this an isolated incident? Your double standards are disgusting. In your world, I guess it's ok to kill the baby no matter what the reason is, sex selection, hair color, eye color. Margaret Sanger must be your hero, since she was an avowed racist, eugenist, and wanted to preserve a pure race of individuals. She wanted to exterminate the disabled and mentally retarded. Another group liked what she had to say as well....they were called the Nazis.

I think the poor guy was probably getting frustrated that his side wasn't doing so hot in the argument, so he whipped out a Nazi analogy. And pretty much flushed his chances of winning that debate down the crapper.
