I just picked up Sunday's paper a few moments ago and saw that one of the people who passes his days in front of the Planned Parenthood office in Dubuque sent a letter to the editor for the Dubuque TH.
http://www.thonline.com/article.cfm?id=250449The letter is full of self-righteous whining and him sitting in judgment of others. For example;
I see a mother taking her young daughter in, spending up to 45 minutes in the building. I hope these mothers are not taking their daughters in for further arrangements. This is why the Dubuque business is the pipeline for abortions. Can you imagine what the future holds for these families? They will carry this decision to their grave.
Who the hell is this sanctimonious clod to assume that mothers are taking their daughters there for abortion? Maybe these mothers don't have fancy insurance to take their daughters elsewhere and instead go to Planned Parenthood to get their daughters proper woman's health services.
As we picket this business, we receive a lot of smiling approvals along with the occasional third-finger salute.
Maybe, like one of the commentators said in the comments, maybe it is not smiles of approval and instead sneers of contempt. Any third finger salutes given are well deserved too.
One of the most revolting things I see is when I see a sister from one of the convents shake her head in disapproval of our prayerful watch.
I'd say to this guy, "...maybe, a--hole, she's as disgusted by you and your pharisitical display as I am."
And he tops it off with this,
As we perform our picketing duties, we are monitored by two cameras. I hope that these people who visit this business anonymously realize that they are being monitored, and God's monitoring is always in focus.
That last line is kind of disturbing to me. After what happened in Kansas on May 31 such sentiments aren't appropriate anymore.
