My LTTE got
published today.
Recently, we have heard from a number of people complaining their freedoms are being taken away. Because the president and Congress are trying to ensure all Americans have health care, trying to shore up our nation economically, and trying to take care of the planet itself we hear repeatedly that somehow freedom is being taken away.
What I want to know is where these people were when George W. Bush and his congressional allies were feeding the Constitution into a shredder? Were they protesting about the loss of freedom then? No. They were busily tripping over each other to heap praise on President Bush and his allies. Anyone who stood up to the real loss of rights was called things like "traitor" or "un-American" by these people who now complain about the supposed loss of freedoms.
I think it is hypocrisy for people to complain about their supposed loss of freedom today when they were silent about the real loss of freedom that occurred under George Bush's watch.
I'm happy now - I have probably been added to a few enemy lists by now.
