Roxanne Conlin may challenge the Chuckster in 2010.
A Des Moines attorney “who once ran for governor is nearly ready to start a race for one of Iowa’s U.S. Senate seats,” Radio Iowa reports.

Senator Chuck Grassley, a Republican, plans to seek a sixth term in the senate in 2010 and Democrat Roxanne Conlin may emerge as a challenger.

“I’m leaning heavily toward running against Senator Grassley,” Conlin says. “I have things involving clients that I need to get through. I want to make sure that everyone I have a responsibility for is in good shape and I’m going to make a decision in the next month.”

Two men from eastern Iowa who once served in the state legislature have announced they intend to seek the Democratic Party’s U.S. senate nomination. But Conlin appears to be the “first round draft pick” the Democratic Party’s chairman said last month would emerge to challenge Grassley. Conlin says she’s heard from “a lot of Iowans” who are unhappy with Grassley.

1. I don't care which one it is as long as the term Senator Grassley
can be retired. As quickly as possible.

2. When I was 19 I was stupid....
...and didn't vote for her for gov. Now I don't live in Iowa so I can't vote for her to make up for it. Still I hope she runs.

3. Hi Ten Bears
Perhaps a nice donation to her campaign would be a great way to make it up to her.

I hear she plans to raise over $10 million for the race, so I am sure that every donation will help.
