That one of our local conservatives would take the opportunity to use Thanksgiving to spout some words of wisdom. Here's a guy who had an axe to grind about personal responsibility and how his liberties are all being taken away.

As we gather our families around our Thanksgiving table this week, I hope that we express gratitude for the liberty and freedom we enjoy purchased by our forefathers and sustained by our inspired Constitution.

Those seeking to undermine our personal liberties under the guise of serving the common good need reminding that those who paved the path to independence did so in reaction to the tyranny and repression of a centralized government.

If there's one thing I really can't stand it's people getting up on their high horses about personal responsibility - because more often than not that applies only to people who don't share their beliefs.
