Just got robocalled by Branstad

Apparently, it's official; he's running for Governor. In the message he said that he is leaving his position as president of Des Moines University to run for Governor. He also said some crap about how he "kept spending under control" and so on. Then I hung up. Unfortunately, my caller id box has dead batteries so I couldn't find out a phone number to look up and scream at. But it seems odd that the Branstad campaign would even call me, as I am a registered Democrat.

Iowa's been there, done that. I had/have a personal beef with Terry B. and hope he doesn't make it through the primaries.

I still held out hope he wouldn't run. I worry people forget what a bad Governor he was. Time has a way of doing that. It makes me sick to my stomach to consider even the possibility.

I'm guessing he's done some research and thinks he has a shot at it.

Well, on second thought maybe somebody from the GOP stroked his ego and he said yes.
