Here is yet another
gem in the ol' Teabagger Herald that was published this morning.
My wife was 60 years old and her chance of survival was very, very slim. I estimate all of her medical costs totaled $250,000.
I believe that, if my wife had become sick under the proposed government health care plan, she would have been told in February 2005 to go home and prepare to die, that her age, estimated treatment cost and chance of survival would not make it cost effective to proceed with treatment.
For me, our sons and grandchildren, having 19 more months of life with her was well worth the cost.
Health care decisions should be made between doctors and patients. They should not be made by our government. Health care reform is needed but we do not need a plan that includes any kind of government-run health care.
Just wait till the local teabaggers get a hold of this letter and start spouting off in the comments section. Like one of the commentators already said in the comments section I guess it'd be perfectly OK for an insurance company to make decisions.
