Can someone tell me what the goofy gun controversy in the legislature is

Jesus effing Christ I do not want to live in a state where some fucking cowboy with a chip on his shoulder can march around with a six shooter on his hip.
I do not want to sit in a restaurant hoping some idiot doesn't get pissed off and decides to settle a score then and there.

1. I dunno much about the bill itself but I heard that the NRA pushed hard for it.

Apparently they were implying that a NO vote would have consequences.

It passed with overwhelming support.

2. RE: handguns

I am curious if, like in Texas, individual businesses have the option of posting "No firearms allowed." I would think this would divide the pro-business repukes from the pro-gun repukes.
