Monticello Planned Parenthood closing

The Monticello office of Planned Parenthood has closed.

The center closed its doors April 2, said Jenifer Vick, spokesperson for Planned Parenthood of East Central Iowa.

The decision to close the Monticello center was made to “help focus resources more efficiently” at Planned Parenthood locations in Cedar Rapids and Dubuque, according to the release.

Planned Parenthood opened the Monticello center in March 2008.

I think that's really unfortunate for the women living in Jones County, it will force them to go to either Cedar Rapids or Dubuque for services.

Of course if you look at the comments our local reich wing is giddy over the closure.
