Branstad just keeps lying about the budget

last night on Iowa Press, toll-booth Terry went into his standard lie about a billion dollar deficit. And finally one of the talking heads (Kay Henderson) asked him to back it up.
TB started talking about one-time money blah, blah, blah .... and before Henderson could ask a follow up, either Borg or Glover saved his butt by changing the subject.
Terry old buddy, If Iowa's budget is in such bad shape, why do we have the highest credit rating among the 50 states? And why is our unemployment among the lowest? Culver didn't cause the Bush depression, but he has dealt with it well up to now.
- Oh and let's talk about that little farm crisis while you and Ray ran this state. Clinton saved your cajones, didn't he?

The media has been piling on Chet for 2 1/2 years now. It is time for some facts to come back into the debate. I am just not sure where it will come from. Rekha Basu in the Register perhaps? Of course Cathy O'branstadovich will give Terry plenty of column space for his lies and distortions.

Perhaps the best thing for Chet's poll numbers is getting to run against a republican, and one with a very long record.
