Braindead picks running mate
Former Governor Braindead has picked his running mate for the 2010 race;

DES MOINES -- Former Gov. Terry Branstad announced today that state Sen. Kim Reynolds, an Osceola Republican, is his choice for running mate in his bid for a fifth term as governor in November.

Reynolds, who served four terms as Clarke County treasurer, is half way through her first term in the Iowa Senate after winning election to the District 48 seat in 2008 -- which encompasses Adams, Clarke, Decatur, Montgomery, Ringgold, Taylor and Union counties. She also served as a member of the Iowa Public Employees Retirement System (IPERS) board as a Branstad appointee from 1996 to 2001.

We'll have to see what the teabaggers thing of this...

2. Looking at the DM Register
It appears that Branstad's thinking is, "Oh if I put someone with female reproductive equipment on my ticket all the women will vote for me." Just like McCain's thinking in 2008.

shame on me for the personal attack. Her list of skills seems thin.

edit to add

snip

“I know you know I’m a hard worker,” she told Branstad. “And I give you my word that I will work day and night to do everything I can to make sure that you’re the next governor of this great state of Iowa.”

end

If she is working day and night for him what about the 48th District? We need a new Senator in the 48th. Ruth Smith are you busy?

6. I love how all of Branstad's ads take credit for the Clinton Era economy
As if he had anything to do with it.

8. The "big lug"
disappointed me in a big way by cutting funding for libraries and community colleges. The most I can help him is by continuing to register as many new (Democratic) voters as possible. He better at least come up with better commercials this time because Branstad would hurt us even worse. Roxanne's got me psyched about the mid-terms though! I talked my sisters into volunteering for her, too. Watching her beat that grouchy old Grasshole would get me excited about politics again.
