A University of Iowa professor felt the need to reply to a blast email by the College Republicans on Monday morning. Ellen Lewin, a professor of Anthropology and Gender, Women’s & Sexuality Studies in the Department of Gender, Women’s & Sexuality Studies, sent a vulgar response to a College Republican email about the group’s, “Conservative Coming Out Week.”

The College Republican email, which was sent to the entire University of Iowa Community, had been approved by a number of university officials before being sent out.

Lewin responded to email by writing, “#*@% YOU, REPUBLICANS” from her official university email account.

1. I have to laugh when republicans whine about incivility

These are the bullies who stand there and call disabled people lazy. They taunt people, make up lies, mock people and oh yes, sometimes even shoot up a church or congress person or a museum.
But when someone stands up to them and hurls the feces back at them they immediately start whimpering like my kids used to and say 'no fair.'
If the repubs want civil discourse, start doing it. Call off your dogs.

2. I sent that on to Stephanie Miller

And I was pleasantly surprised when she read my email on that subject at the Sexy Liberal Show in Madison. I got to meet her afterwards and thank her for reading that. She got a kick out of a woman who stood up and said, "Fuck you, Republicans" right to their faces.
