CD 1 candidates on lobbyist contributions

The comments made by Dickinson are interesting in a number of ways. He passively mentions fundraising within one's own district, I think this was debated on the board a while back.

Seems like some GOP infighting on this one could shake things up some. Kennedy doesn't have much money but talking "reform" is always popular. Dix, has lots of money, doesn't so much like Kennedy's thoughts.

1. Kennedy's just trying to get his name back in the race.
Heck, even bad press is better than no press for the guy. He can't raise money, he can't get endorsements, maybe he should put that bag over his head.

I think the debate about fund raising has burnt itself out, the geographical location from where a contribution originates does not equal the ethical quality of the candidate. That being said, I believe all the Democratic candidates (those who have filed FEC reports) have received money from outside of the First District. Mr. Dickinson should look at his own bank account before leveling veiled insults

2. Funny
I find it pretty comical that a lobbyist would be preaching about lobby reform. I suppose we should expect nothing less from the Hypocritical Party.

Social Conservatives = Some of the biggest pervs ever
Economic Conservatives = Some of the biggest spenders ever
Governmental Conservatives = New freakin department of Homeland Security

It shouldn't surprise me then that a lobbyist (who most likely has done his fair share of dirty politicking) is preaching about reform.
