On edit: I should make it clear that KXIC is owned by Clear Channel.
Longtime Iowa City radio personality Roy Justis announced on air Friday morning he was leaving KXIC, 800-AM.
In a two-minute statement to listeners at 7:30 a.m., Justis said his definition of truth and fairness was different than the company's, and it was his last day.
Justis said he was ordered to leave by the station's business manager at 9:30 a.m. Friday, 30 minutes before his show was scheduled to end.

"I've tried to do my dangdest over the past few years to swallow hard and try to stay involved in the community and volunteerism and try to keep the station out front."
I never really listened to this station, but it's a shame someone can devote 37 years and get treated like crap.
