If I can get one made by then. I am hoping to oppose the war AND arouse some interest (as a senior advisor) in the reactivated Students for a Democratic Society.

I have an irritating thing called a job (thankfully), but am certainly going to try and make IC on the 20th. May be signless as I have no artistic ability where drawing and penmanship is concerned.

5. Ames March - March 19

Here is the info for the march in Ames on Sunday:

WHAT:   Peace March & Rally
WHEN:   Sunday, March 19, 2006
              2:30PM--March from Iowa State Center (Lincoln Way and Elwood Drive)
              3:00PM--March from Roosevelt School (9th St. between Northwestern Ave.
              & Roosevelt Ave.)
              4:00PM--Rally at Lincoln Center (Lincoln Way and Grand Ave.)
WHERE: Lincoln Center (Lincoln Way and Grand Ave.), Ames
INFO:     Bring peace signs and lots of friends… some signs will be provided.
              There will be speakers, music, free soup and coffee at the rally beginning
              at 4 p.m.

Unfortunately, I was out of town last year, but I heard they had a good turnout.

Also, if you live in the 4th Congressional District, or just want to help, there will be a meeting of volunteers for SPENCER FOR CONGRESS at 1:30 pm Sunday. The meeting will finish in time for one of the marches and certainly for the rally (with soup and coffee). Quite a Sunday!

Davenport is closer to me but I have some business to tend to in IC on Monday and also do not have time to get my signs and buttons and brochures ready for Davenport in time. If you want some SDS lit and a button I will have some in IC 5 PM Monday (and later). If not just come and join the march there anyway if possible.
