What was printed in yesterday's DMR : "(Republican) Contributors can purchase a "gold sponsorship" for $10,000 that will give them an opportunity to have a photo taken with the president as well as two dinner tickets. Individual tickets to the dinner run $250."

Democratic folks, however, can dance the night away, have dinner and visit with all the Democratic Gubernatorial candidates, hob-knob with Sen. John Edwards, get face-to-face time with 2nd District Congressional candidate Dave Loebsack, and even (possibly) have a spin around the dancefloor by Gov. Tom Vilsack or Lt. Gov. Sally Pederson.

All this and more will be up for grabs at the 2006 Linn County Hall of Fame Dinner & Dance on Saturday evening, April 8, from 5 to 11 p.m. Tickets are available by visiting the LCDCC web site. Ticket sales end on April 1.

I have some good news for you today. You can still attend the Big Event on
Saturday night!!

That's right!! You're not shut out.

This all happened because Kay Hale and I have agreed to sell NON-Dinner tickets
to Saturday's Hall of Fame Event. That's right! These tickets will be sold
at the door for $25 each. For this price, you will be permitted entry into
the Event, but you will not be provided a dinner.

The dinner count had to be submitted to the caterers prior to the event,
and so, sadly, no more dinners can be sold. But, because this event keeps
getting bigger and bigger, we wanted everyone to have the opportunity to
attend the biggest event in Linn County this year.

And so now you have a second chance to do just that. And, Dems, I know you
