Ouch, nice slam on Bill Gluba, Bob Simpson & Bob Rush. Guess they couldn't cut the Congressional mustard the way Dickinson can :eyes:

1. He claims to be a centrist.
But there is no center. Anymore. Where is the center for choice for instance?

2. HI, Debi!
I should have mentioned we are in Rick's district and we have known him for years but he has been a DLC type in recent years and not as strong for the unions as I'd like. We'd of course support him instead of Whalen were the nominee since I think he does value our input and suggestions. He did some work for me when I ran for state rep (my own ill-fated voyage to the moon).

Dare to Struggle! Dare to Win!

5. I don't think Dickinson is a bad person
I just don't like the way his campaign is being run. I don't like that he bailed on the Democratic Party for a decade when he got his job with GDED and now just expects Democrats to follow him around because...He's Back but with a little republican twist he acquired after ten years of working with the Chamber of Commerce.

 Of course he'll be better than any of the three republicans running. If he's the nominee he'll have my support. I just wish his campaign would quit being so negative and bragadoccio about a ten year-old voting record and Dubuques economic boom that has more to do with gambling money than the GDED.

3. Not to nit pick but...
I think he was the mayor of Sabula, not Saluba. The only island city in Iowa. Sorry about that. I also emailed him, Gluba, and Braley with some questions concerning issues. Dickinson is the only one who has personally contacted me. I got a guy from the Braley campaign who is a good guy, and I worked with him previously, and Gluba just keeps asking for money. I will say that I wasn't terribly impressed with answers I got from Dickinson, but as I said, at least he responded to me personally, where the others didn't. Braley is beginning to irritate me, as a matter of fact. Come to Davenport, talk to voters yourself and don't let P. D. do all your talking. And Gluba, if I want to give money, I will. Stop asking me every other friggin' day. That goes for all candidates for that matter. Ok ok, end of rant. Have a nice day.

4. Braley did come to Jackson County a few times.
Even though Rick is from Sabula!

6. Hey Bluzmann, can I have some money?
:hi:

Just didn't want to be left out in the cold if everyone else was asking.

That's kind of been my beef about Dickinson in Black Hawk County, I think he's been her 4-5 times since he started running. And I don't mean coming to Central Committee meetings and giving the 15 minute speech and taking off. I'm talking about a meet-and-greet event. Who knows, maybe I'm just not invited :(

7. You ain't the first woman to ask me for money
Ah never mind, thats another story altogether. We, as Dems need this seat more than ever now, with Lane Evans retiring in Illinois.
