3. Two that I know of

The Dubuque County Dems are having a function (cheese and wine) in the early evening. They just wrapped up a truly great public awareness campaign on poverty and Edwards, since this is one of his primary focuses, is joining them to culminate their work. I don't have all the details, but could get them if anyone is interested.

The Linn County Hall of Fame Dinner and Dance will be held at Veteran's Memorial Coliseum on Saturday night. Although all dinner tickets have been sold, folks can still arrive late at the door and gain entrance for $25 (no dinner, no door prizes). All of the gubernatorial candidates will be there (Mohammed, Culver, Blouin, Fallon), 2nd District Congressional candidate Dave Loebsack, lots of our local political types and Edwards as the keynote speaker.
