Ed Fallon takes on IDED (there are days when I REALLY like Ed)
Waaay to long to post the whole thing here so here's the link from Chris Wood's site

http://www.politicalforecast.net/2006/04/21/ia-gov-fallon-demands-answers-about-the-iowa-values-fund/

Wonder if he'll get an answer before June 6? ;)

1. Thanks for the link, Debi
I find Ed Fallon so refreshingly unintimidated by any "sacred cow" issues. People really respond to his candor.

In Des Moines a few weeks ago, my friends and I stopped at El Patio for some dinner after the * protest. The owner of the store noticed that Fred was wearing a Fallon button. He said "Now that's a good candidate. I've known Ed for years, and I'd like to see him win. And I'm a Republican."

Go, Ed!

2. The Values Fund should not be a sacred cow
Governments providing corporate welfare is no good.

I'm proud Fallon continues to go after this.

3. Were the values fund doing what it was meant to do
it would be on parade everywhere. The fact that Mr. Fallon must force data to be brought out must tell us something.
Thank you, Debi for bringing this up.
And Thank you, Ed Fallon for going after the data. I've got some money invested in the values fund. I'd loke to know if it is being spent wisely.

4. We ALL do!
I'm somewhat disturbed that my money went to Wells Fargo and ADM (not really small businesses) and now what they've promised to do is being called into question. But also that WE paid Mike Blouin almost $300,000 in one year just to give our money away!!!

Sure Vilsack isn't out there campaigning for Blouin - he's just campaigning for the Values Fund - you see the subtle difference don't you?????
