Local implications of Terri Schaivo

We now see the Republicans for the radicals they are. They claim to be conservative, but they are not. They have become a dangerous threat to federalism, the sanctity of marriage, independent judiciary, and indeed the rule of law. Republican behavior in the Terri Schaivo case has radicalized me. I am appalled. No registered Republican will ever again get my vote, even for county commissioner or city council. Certainly, not all Republicans are members of the rabid wing, but a vote for any Republican is a vote for George Bush and this madness. All politics are now national! Pardon my rant.

Phill Kline, Sam Brownback, Pat Roberts, and assorted other rabid conservatives. I think fighting against Republicans is a matter of survival now.
