I've just decided to do this, after getting a call from Mark Simpson, the head of the Kansas Democratic Party, on Monday evening, and I'm a bit nervous. I've occasionally had fantasies about running for office, but nothing serious, and this is a bit scary. But the real encouraging thing is that there's a lot of support and training for us Democratic candidates this year. I'm going to several sessions in the next two weeks, and I'm sure it will help tremendously.
