Some good news after Black Tuesday
Sprint and SBC say they will continue to offer benefits to domestic partners. Let's hope they ae permitted to do so.

This article also notes:

"This has awakened the body of Christ," said the Rev. Terry Fox of Wichita.

Fox said that his supporters are now focusing on "evolution and abortion clinics."

He called on Gov. Kathleen Sebelius a bill that would increase regulation of abortion clinics that was pushed by Fox's group and other Christian conservatives in the state. Sebelius vetoed a similar proposal in 2003.

But, Fox said Thursday that if she vetoes it again she does so at her own peril.

We need to get progressive folks out to vote or Kansas will become another Iran or 16th Century Spain with a daily auto-de-fe lighting up the night sky as heretics are burned at the stake.

1. One of the ringleaders of the circus of hate is named Terry Fox?!??
That's just wrong. In Canada, the real Terry Fox is considered a hero. That rat bastard should change his name.

3. Terry Fox
This one is a serious Bozo.

A few years ago there was a big billboard along the southbound side of I-135 right before the 21st street exit in Wichita advertising this whack-job's Baptist church. I drove past it daily and one thing always ocurred to me:

About 1/3 of the billboard was HIS face.

That really tells you all you need to know about Fox and what he REALLY serves; power and money - not the Gospel.

He's a budding Pat Robertson clone and quite a power broker for the looney Right in Wichita.

4. And they have their "Center in the center of the city" which is the HUGE
complex with swimming pools and gyms. It is in the middle of the city in one of the poorest neighborhoods. Its use is for the members of the church. Rather than feeding the hungry or helping the neighborhood.... they bought a city street to build the complex too. (Yes. They BOUGHT a street.)

5. WWJD?
What Would Jesus Do?

Apparently He'd be Yuppie.

:puke:

Egad.

Matthew 25 is one of the main reasons I stopped being a Republican...

Guess Fox has excised that stuff (along with the Sermon on the Mount) out of his copy; but hey, thank God those homosexuals can't get married...

What screwy priorities. :banghead:
