Thank you to the DUers who attended our meetup tonight
And the ones who weren't there missed out on a great evening.

Pictures will be posted as soon as I figure out how to post them.

4. We are nearly doubling our attendance every month
That is so awesome.

You and Scratch and I are going to look back one day and remember when it was only the three of us and get nostalgic.

22. Unfortuately, we were at opposite ends of the table
So I didn't really get to meet you and your husband.

But Muse was telling me that you and your husband were nice and fun to talk to.

Next time we will have to switch ends or something, to mix it up. I enjoyed meeting and talking with the people I was sitting by, but I didn't get to meet the other end of the table.

Or, maybe I will just make sure I get one of the middle seats

25. I'm so glad to put a face with the name
and I liked your girlfriend too. I'm still chuckling about the brownie and its unadvertised nuts. I hate when that happens. It was a "Larry David/Curb Your Enthusiasm" moment. If you haven't seen CYE you should rent it.

I hope to see you two at Drinking Liberally some time. As I said, we usually break-up around 9:45 so we can go home and watch the Daily Show.

15. I think he'll have more time for that!
He's been very active in writing letters to newspapers all over, and he's been published more than once! He really enjoyed the evening...I think it was just what he needed. Hey, let me know when you're out our way, we can meet for lunch. You can pm me any time!:hi: (these smileys can really get on one's nerves).

6. HI!
It was WONDERFUL! Thanks to you for organizing it. I had a great time, just got home a few minutes ago, talked my husbands ear off about it and now I am in my usual spot, in front of the TV burning my thigh with the lap top on DU.

If you have problems with the pictures send them to me and I will put them up for you.

We had a great time. I am so pleased at how our little group grows every month. We are going to meet at the same place again in May and then maybe have some picnics this summer. We will keep you posted.

24. That was fun! Here's some links
We had a great time. I'm so glad we went. There is always something so satisfying about meeting the people behind the keyboard. And, someday, MuseRider and I will figure out where she has seen me.

Also, if people want to meet in Lawrence sometime, I'd suggest doing it on Drinking Liberally night (Tuesday). We just need to decide which Tuesday we can all go, although everyone would be welcomed any Tuesday night. Right now, we've got between 10 -15 people showing up on a regular basis. The information and links for Drinking Liberally is at the bottom. You'll need to go to the DL website for local contact information. You can sign up for the mailing list which, at least here in Lawrence, is only used once a week as a reminder for that week's event. So you don't get flooded by e-mail on a daily basis.

If anyone is looking for something to do tomorrow night (Friday, 4/22) there is a DFA meetup scheduled at Free State at 7 p.m. It will basically be a planning and get to know each other meeting. We've got six hardcore members with various interests. I hope some of you will be able to join us.

31. We'll look for you
It will be easier now that we know what each other looks like. We'll leave word at the desk too. Here's what you need to know, Friday, April 22, 7:00 p.m. There will another one Friday, May 6, 7:00 p.m. at the Lawrence Library. The May meeting will have more attendees.

29. Will you give lessons?
I have always wanted to learn how to clog. I am so strong but so pitifully out of shape that I would last about a minute then collapse on the floor in a heap but still, I think that would be a blast!

John Hardin, our clog master, gives them through Johnson County Parks and Recs. Tuesday nights at Roeland Park Community Center. He's a master teacher. If you can walk, you can learn to clog. I did.

30. You should come to Tax Day in Lawrence
When the Alfred Packer band starts playing the cloggers are out in force.

This year's Tax Day in Lawrence was recently featured on "CBS Sunday Morning." Our ex-mayor, Mike Rundle, did his annual solo clogging on national TV. They also talked about the Roadkill Stew, this year it was bbq'ed ground hog (the rule is, "get to the roadkill before the flies do.")

Sorry you couldn't make it last night. Hope you can come next time. The place is lower brow than where we met last month and the food is lots less expensive. It's more of a Democrat hang out. They don't even take credit cards. :)
