Several Kansans, including a Lawrence family, may have been among the last to see a Rocky Mountain National Park ranger before the ranger was reported missing, officials said today.
The ranger, Jeff Christiansen, 31, has not been seen since last week.
On Friday, a family from Chanute, Kansas spoke with Christiansen near the summit of Mt. Chiquita in the Mummy Range.
Investigators say there also was a man and two sons from Lawrence who were in the area. One of the boys was wearing a sweatshirt with the words "State Track & Field Champions -- It’s A Tradition."
Park rangers asked that these folks, or anyone who was in the Mummy Range area of Rocky Mountain National Park on Friday or Saturday, please contact the park at 970-586-1204.
