1. Hey, wait a minute...
It's not *flat* here, we're just on a VERY gradual incline. Really!

17. If you measure flatness by the difference from the lowest point
of elevation to the highest point of elevation, FL is the flattest state and KS is not in the top 10.

LOL, parts of it do resemble a pancake though, look just past the formation.

Edit to add a missing letter. It is flat, there is now a question of the correctness of Evolution, the AG is suing the Governor and some of us can't spell. Ahhhh Ahhhh Kansas. I miss that TV spot.

5. You're right
the eastern third of Kansas is hilly and really quite pretty. The rest however, is asthetically, politically, and culturally hell on earth. I got a speeding ticket on I-70 just trying to heck the heck out of there. Sorry Kansans, had to say it. On a positive note, your rest stops are top notch!

7. There are beautiful hills
that go from north to south in the middle of the state. Unfortunately, the interstate highways just barely touch them.

9. Hey, each to their own.
While I love to visit the ocean especially and the mountains and forests of this country I still find the flat plains to have a unique beauty. It is tough though to drive through it.

Yes, parts of Ohio are very flat.

We also have bumpy parts too, though...

or Texas. Not enough red earth/clay or I'd say Oklahoma.

:hi:

P.S. One of the gangs from Lawrence is heading out tomorrow morning.

On edit: One of those going is Rex. He's traveling with the redhead.
